From the first episode, this show never took me where I expected to go. It was a delight to just let go of all my preconceived notions and just go along for the ride!
And what an amazing cast! As soon as I saw that lineup, I knew this was going to be brilliant. Allison Janney never fails. Kristen Wiig blew me away! Can someone please tell me how the entire cast managed to look SO fabulous and young!? I was convinced they somehow managed to film this twenty years ago when everyone was younger (until I realized Mitzi would have been a baby!). The sets and costumes are so stunning I had to go back and rewatch for all the beautiful details!

Patrick Stewart once said that Brent Spiner was the best actor he ever worked with. This episode is one shining example of why he said that. The trope of "imported multiple personalities" has been used in virtually every sci fi series in memory, but few actors are as capable of pulling it off. He is.
