I appreciate that some people seem to absolutely love this episode, I do not and never have liked musicals, so I would not have been able to watch it with the sound on.
For those like me, during the musical sections, I muted the sound and watched it with subtitles so I could still follow the story.
I admire creativity, but not when it excludes a large section of the viewership who simply don't like musicals.
It's such a contrast from the previous episode with the excellent flashback battle scenes from the Klingon wars.

I heard about this movie many years ago, but never managed to watch it.
It has a really good cast and I sat down to give it a go this evening.
I stopped watching after about 10 minutes because during that time the same scenes had been repeated over and over again, it seems to me for style rather than for any other purpose.
I wasn't confused by the skipping between various times both past and present, I just found it really annoying.
I've watched thousands of movies over the course of my life, so it's a shame I made the decision to stop this one so early.
I just found the skipping back and forward completely pointless and in my opinion, it added nothing to the story.

I enjoyed watching this series, but at the time of writing, it's rated as the 35th best TV series of all time.
I don't understand that.
I'm a fan of Westerns and Science-Fiction / Space Adventures and this is a combination of both.
If you like these genres, then this is a not to be taken seriously, yet fun watch.
Given how the series pans out, it's clear that they had not anticipated it being cancelled.
At only 14 episodes, however, it's very easy to binge.
I've rated it 7/10, which I think is fair especially given the evidently low production budget.
Give it a go, but just don't expect the 35th best series of all time.
