Yes, time to bring this one to modern day. There are hits and misses with this film. The three actors are excellent, but I was expecting much more stooge action, but when there was, it took me back to the old show. One slap hit sequence had me quite in stitches. Sofia Vergara, playing a baddie has never been hotter, and trust me, you'll miss who Larry (Seinfeld) David is playing, and Kate Upton as a very sexy nun, provided some eye candy. The film has a good story, but sadly it delivered quite below my expectations. The Farrelly brothers haven't made a funnier film since Dumb And Dumber, and this one they really tried, but ultimately in a way failed, or discreetly failed in a larger sense. Again, I must give praise to the 3 stooge actors who really brought it, totally inhabiting the former ones we grew up with and loved.
I love these better title of adult films, especially ones with style like this one. A 68 minute erotic eye candy drama/comedy. I'll simply run it down. A paralyzed father of this country mansion is about to marry this very hot younger woman, the returning son of the father, falling head over heels and becoming obsessed with her, and vice versa. The male butler, so jealous, has his own malicious intentions, and he's fun to watch. A lot of eroticism, nude painting, this one won't disappoint and has class and her, the panty scene, sharp in my mind, with a classic finale, you have to see. Great instrumental, but story wise, not enough to constitute higher score. But please watch adult lovers. Mark it on your list.
Sweetie is an offbeat movie with wonderful performances, ones where we got lost in the characters, none more than the brilliant Lemon, as the title nickname. Talented but crazy, where inside, she's a mentally tortured soul, where it has taken a burden on her family, her sister who has cut loose of her, but she too is weird. Just ask her workmates. She stole a workmates fiancée, who also works at this nurses clinic, as she knew they were meant for each other, yet a year+ later, they are sleeping in different rooms. Crazy Lemon, crashes their peaceful residence, bringing her drugged up would be agent boyfriend with her. Sweetie stands alone as a true original, about a not too ordinary family. It has some dark humor and has moments which pull at your heartstrings. As we've seen before either in film or reality, a mentally ill party can be a burden to carry, and we will never be able understand that person. Sweetie is a prime if cliche'd example of that. But they are special beings. Highly worth it's watch.
