I had been waiting quite a while for this remake, and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. Some of the casting was completely wrong. Especially Lloyd, Trashcan Man, and Tom. This has always been my favorite book ever, and all the years they had to improve on the hokey ness of the original miniseries seems to have been wasted. I had a hard time making it through this. The original is better in every sense.
For anyone that is a fan of the book, don't waste your time. You will be extremely disappointed.
The only high points to me were the choices of actors playing Flagg and Harold Lauder.
Maybe I made a bad choice in watching the original and the remake back to back.
