Great start to an episode but then it took a hard political turn. As much as I love the way the law and order series has plucked storylines from headlines in the past they have always handled it from the middle or shown the give and take from both sides. This dreck makes the X-Men movies seem plausible. Her actions were beyond ridiculous and in any realistic setting she would have been fired long ago. The girl and her mother were subpar actors at best. New York State takes plenty of kids away pending an investigation with child services. I've never seen Olivia jump in at those cases when they go bad.
Good Lord, everyone in this episode was so overly stereotyped. What awful dreck. Whomever wrote this episode should be relegated to writing teletubby episodes after this. I love this show but this is just too much. No-one on either side is this ridiculous. We all knew where it was going from the beginning.
