  • To Kill a Mocking Alan

Alan partridge has not been the same since Armando Iannucci stepped aside in writing the character.

It's steve coogans character and hes great at playing him but the writing has lost its way.

The wit and clever cringe aspects Iannucci brought to the character are so obviously missing now.

Alot of modern partridge feels a bit americanised to me.

Not in the comedy or feel of the show, which is still very British, but how just by saying anything with a certain tone and cadence is meant to elicit humour.

Each Alan instalment since mid morning matters has got steadily worse.

I think the character needs a rest now.

  • Best episode of eastenders ever

I'm a big Wheatley fan, even though I think his films can be hit and miss. I had no anticipation for this film and watched it out of boredom really. The film has a constant underlined tension which you think will explode into a crescendo of violence that never happens. I look forward to rebecca.
