So far I've been enjoying, to varying degrees, most episodes this season. In general, though, the season has seemed to be stumbling while attempting to regain its footing. With this episode it feels as if it now has reached solid ground and is ready to confidently move forward. A new mystery has begun, and all key players are on the same side to find the answer...thankfully!
I am now excited for the second half of season nine of The Blacklist! Too bad we have to wait until after the Olympics to see where this new mystery leads Raymond and the task force.

From last week's excellent episode to this week's mess I'm definitely feeling whiplash! I didn't think it was possible for the Jo(h)n's to write an episode that could make me dislike Liz more... but hey, if that was their intent they succeeded! I now wish someone would just do in Elizabeth and release many of us from our Blacklist misery. I love the show, but currently despise one of the main characters (not the actress).
I loved this episode due to some beautiful acting by James Spader, LaChanze, and Harry Lennix. Even though the episode did not address any of the current mythology such as the thumb drive or N13 it was an interesting episode that shows the audience where Red is at emotionally and reaffirms Cooper's moral integrity. One of my favorite episodes in recent years.
