Despite adequate acting by Jennifer Winglet, the script and storyline is so boring dragging on and on that you loose all interest in continuing to watch. The script and storyline must have pace with sensible incidents to keep the interest. The other girl was free with natural acting. But when the script is weak nothing much can can make their interesting. Is it a legal drama or drab love story? The end is obvious. That too old cliché type which can be anyone's guess. A wastage of acting talents. Time to gear up the drama otherwise ratings would fall weekly. Often I wonder how they get producers to invest on such lousy scripts.
When Bengali movies have reached its lowest edge, it is refreshing to watch a well made clean thriller in Platform 8. A low budget fast movie with adequate suspicion it keeps you glued to the screen till the very end. With several twists and turns it keeps you guessing till the very end. A script well away from the cliché serial lines adds freshness to the movie. Natural acting by all especially the lead Ishani Sengupta and Shreya Bhattacharya both relatively fresh faces rejuvenate your spirits taking you away from the usual crap boredom which Bengali movies serve on a platter with media backing. Please see the movie.
Rubbish in the name of cinema. Haphazard story, abusive language, poor direction. Though actors are well known they have been presented in comical unrealistic way. The standard of Bengali movies have drastically deteriorated. Above all a good storyline is missing. Except for Saswata Chatterjee none have been given scope of acting. Overall it reflects the cultural degradation of Bengal. Photography and music is not up to any standard. The director should concentrate on other activities than making craps like this. If they refrain from making movies chances of better movies can see the light. Don't see the rubbish.
