The mentor-mentee relationship is well-established, which has certainly contributed to the efficacy of the prominent 'underdog' narrative.
However, other characters in the tale, the supporting cast I mean, did not receive much screen time which ultimately made its prospects feel somewhat constrained, limiting its final impact.
And this was further intensified by a rather uninspired and laid-back editing that failed to capture or complement the true essence of a story like this.
That being said, I truly appreciate how the story embodies and then celebrates the fighting spirit that many individuals tend to possess.
It showcases their passion and relentless drive to chase impossible dreams, often in defiance of their family's expectations, their troubled past and backgrounds, and all the odds stacked against their beliefs.
Stories like these are inherently inspiring!

The attempts of a grumpy & ungracious old man to rediscover and establish himself in an unfamiliar neighborhood would have elicited a significant response from me, if only his character possessed some redeeming qualities beyond the clichéd 'savior complex.'
Even though he is a war veteran who has endured as well as witnessed horrific experiences that have undoubtedly tainted his mind and spirit, I found it impossible to empathize with such a prejudiced, racist individual.
His blatant hostility towards people of different ethnic backgrounds and his consistently pessimistic worldview left me cold.
When you factor in the monotony of the narrative, a lackluster screenplay, and uninspiring performances from the supporting ensemble, the result is a combination that fails to spark any real interest.
To say I was frustrated would be an understatement here.

If you set your standards for evaluating 'visual prowess' against the likes of Sony, DreamWorks, or Pixar, it's likely that the animations will come off as lacking in comparison.
That said, I want to emphasise that before voicing any disappointment regarding the relatively lower visual quality, it's important to consider that those major studios typically invest millions of dollars and employ thousands of artists to bring their animations to life.
Therefore, drawing comparisons between their work and that of a much smaller regional studio from southern parts of India is not only unfair but also quite unreasonable.
Now for me my main complaint lies with the editing and overall structure of the storyline, which feels somewhat juvenile and lacks the 'maturity' and 'polish' I had hoped for.
More so because the story of Prahlad is inherently captivating, touching on profound themes that go far beyond what may initially meet the eye.
It explores the idea of defying one's birthright, inherent identity, and established beliefs in the pursuit of greater love, compassion, and betterment of humanity, heavy themes that certainly deserve deeper reflection and more sophisticated writing.
What truly stood out for me, however, was the voice dubbing and the music; both the score and the songs significantly enhanced the film's essence and highlighted certain scenes effectively.
P. S. Supreme divine beings, often associated and revered for 'divinity' and 'leniency,' becoming enraged and then unleashing their wrath always gives a whole another level of high to me!
