Yesterday I watched Man of Steel, Batman VS Superman, Justice League and Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Zack Snyder's Justice League is hands down THE BEST superhero movie I have ever seen! I collect superhero movies. The 4 hr 2 minute play time is broken up by parts. At each part, I paused it and did what I needed to do, giving me time to absorb what I saw.
After seeing this film it makes me wonder how much better many big budget movies could have been. The theatrical version is an example of how studios and some producers create a work which is designed to appeal to the widest possible audience in an effort to appeal to basic societal expectation. Focusing more on the marketing pay-off than telling an engaging story.
This film was a creation of art and mood. Geared more towards a select few. Its not a film which tries to make you feel good and more about the view and mood of the essence of the ideas being presented. Its very effective at its job of suspending disbelief.
The redesigned look and feel is amazing with its attention to detail. Important details absent in the original release in 2017. Snyder's vision shows us a good movie can be made when the studios actually allow the art to override the money potential.
Granted, much of the effects were CGI but the CGI was well done and added to the quality of the film. I read there were still parts of Zack Snyder's cut which did not make the screen. I also read there is a black & white version which shows a different ending and lil segments left out of this version. I'd love to see that too.
Last night, after it finished, I decided to make this version a permanent film in my DC Justice League Universe collection. It blows away Marvel's Cinematic Universe.
Will Zack Snyder make Justice League 2? Will he remake Man of Steel or Dawn of Justice? Will he make The Flash? I feel like I've been cheated by all the previous superhero films. It exemplifies the feeling of "Here is what is possible and 'this' is what 'we decided' to give you".
Zack Snyder RAISED the bar. Not an inch, a mile! GOOD JOB!

Its an Un'Corked film!
Uncorked is associated with bad movies. I've yet to see one worth watching.
Pretty much, you can believe the other reviewers. Its BAD!
But hey, I believe some effort was made to make a movie. I've seen really, REALLY bad films. At least there was Foley, filtering and steady shots (for the most part).
I really didn't pay much attention to it because it couldn't hold my attention. The Moon was shining thru my window and it was more entertaing to watch it move than pay attention to this film.
But, I did catch some of it.
The few times my gaze actually landed on the screen, I was amazed at how insultingly stupid the film was. If you LOVE monsters as much as I do, you should see it. If you have other things going on, why bother? You won't focus on it long enough to see anything which could merit your attention. But hey, I was alone at night with nothing really happening, except the Moon which was slightly brighter than the film (in more ways that the obvious). All the constant screaming was slightly entertaining. Personally, I was rooting for the monster, hoping everyone, including the writer and director were killed. Not to mention Un'Corked being shredded. LOL, see it at your own risk of boredom.
One of those films which makes absolutely no practical sense.
Cliche after cliche, inaccurate technical details and an old play on the heroine.
Cookie cutter to put it bluntly.
The character actions did not portray, even remotely, the common sense anyone would immediately have. The monster was same ole, same ole. The bad guys more common than usual with the usual, obvious twist.
I successfully predicted all the elements of this film before they occurred. Anyone could. Anyone will.
However, my gf did like it so I let it play.
I've seen much better monster/creature films but I've also seen more monster films which are worse, a lot worse. All in all, you can watch it but it won't really do much for ya. Unless, of course, you are rather new to monster/creature features.
