If I could, I would give it a 7.5, just not quite an 8. I only felt compelled to give a review because I saw negative reviews by a lot of stuffed shirts. I think it has a compelling way of telling the story from the female cop's perspective. Does that make it "feminist" or "politically correct"? Of course not. Get over yourself, whoever said that! Just another misogynist pig trying to shuck it off as politically correct.

The way it ties in the different murders is as realistic as many American cop shows I've seen. I like how there is some irreverent humor from the younger characters.

I'm not the typical reviewer but felt I needed to add some of these other reviewers are stuffed shirts.

1. I love musicals but these tunes aren't the least bit catchy or memorable. 2. The writing is lacking. It relies to much on Ketchy lines and overly long poorly written songs tying them together in a mismatched Frankenstein fashion (and without the comic genius of Young Frankenstein). 3. The miserable attempts at comedy fail. Too little character development that makes you want to keep watching. As another reviewer put it, you are actually uncomfortable watching the characters. It's like they channeled the worst, most distasteful side of Monty Python but not the cleverness that makes the gaffs tolerable.

I actually suffered through 2 shows plus 10 minutes of the 3rd until I was convinced there were no redeeming qualities worth wasting any more of my time.

I was looking forward to a comedy with nice musical interludes. This is not it, unfortunately.

I'm sad they canceled it. Good characters, plot line, and acting in my opinion. It seems to have enough love, sex, and intrigue to please everybody. I can't understand what's not to like. There's the tension with his father and stepmother. Then there's his love interest as well as his protégé/assistant for strong female characters. There's also his best friend, the ER doctor, who sometimes acts as his moral compass. Finally, his patients are the rich & famous who have a reason for not wanting mainstream medical care. It all combines for a fascinating storyline in my opinion. Definitely better than Royal Pains. Lastly, the website has a real problem recognizing when ten lines has been entered and a complete, descriptive review has been entered.
