balathehedgehog9's rating
Go ahead and look at the ratings for previous season. The lowest rated episode by far has been the "Party Thor" one from Season 1. That's well deserved, the episode was plain dumb. Every complaint you could have about a What If episode (cringe humor/dialog, wasted potential, boring concept, no plot, et c.) is at its worst there. Its rating? 6.4/10. On NO PLANET is this episode worse. There is no valid or logical justification for how this episode can have a lower score. Are the only people reviewing season 3 at this point just tired of the MCU and hate-watching it?
I enjoyed it well enough. It was a fun, action packed episode with our first look at what a post-Endgame Avengers team could look like and character interactions we haven't seen before and the return of Savage Hulk. That's what you'd want in a What If story.

"Linear and simplistic" "paper thin plot" "tropes slapped together" "derivative, disappointing waste of time" "forgettable" "lacking depth" - other reviews posted here.
I'm sorry, did we watch the same cuts of Ant Man 1 and 2? And if so where can I stream those? Because I remember the first 2 movies being exactly all that. The Ant Man movies have always been some of the most mid, inconsequential, skippable movies of the MCU. It's positively ludicrous to claim this movie is a significant downgrade from the first two movies like the scores show, unless the only thing you cared about was Luis because everything else is the same in terms of quality. Except of course the villain, Kang, who is extremely compelling, threatening and acted.
Shout-out to the guy who said "Remember the menacing villain who made you feel uncomfortable and tense not knowing what was going to happen next?" about the previous Ant Man villains. No dude, I don't remember Darren Cross (generic money hungry maniac), Sonny Birch (just a plain dude with no powers) or Ghost (lmao can't even remember her real name) being menacing or making me feel uncomfortable. Kang did though.
