Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is my favorite Quentin Tarantino film. He seems to get the notes of the era just right. The ending of the film left me very satisfied. Leonardo DiCaprio is solid as the lead. His performance is terrific. In my mind he is better here than his role in The Wolf Of Wall Street. Brad Pitt is the true hero striking the right amount of self knowing and confidence to resolve whatever needs to be done. The friendship between these two is what drives the film. The soundtrack of the film is excellent bringing back to life a memorable era that is still fondly remembered. See it for yourself.
James Garner as Jim Rockford is about as good as it gets. Looking back at this from the 21 st Century it is amazing how good the cast, the guest stars and the scripts are.
Jim Rockford was the everyday man who worries about the cost of groceries while trying to bag the bad guys. James Garner poured his soul into this show, reportedly working late into the night with other actors while he was offscreen reading lines. If you have never seen this program before you are in for a real treat.
