Man, I wanted to love this movie. It felt more like waiting for paint to dry. Top notch actors at every turn but the story fell sorely short of anything worth caring about. The only stand out performance in the movie was by Jodey Comer. Her accent alone should win some kind of award. I'm only half way through the mandatory 600 hundred characters to leave a review, and feel I like giving up.( like I did with the movie itself.) Tom Hardy's character was about as dull as a butter knife. Which is crazy, because he could read the pages out of a phone book and make it interesting. Austin Butler has had a stellar last couple of years and absolutely nailed the persona of Elvis. This movie could have been as great as the cast is stellar. But barely had a heartbeat. So sad.
I was looking so forward to seeing this for months. Now I'm looking forward to shutting this off and going to bed. Just plain YUCK!!!!! O guess it can only get better. 1st episode gets an F.
