I rarely write reviews for films, mainly because not a lot resonate with me enough to do so and the ones that do are well reviewed enough.
Kneecap is a very well put together film, it doesn't focus on being satirical too much, it has enough emotional leverage with the father storyline to engage the audience, personally I've listened to their music for a few years and I've enjoyed it but that does not bias my review, I enjoy the way it showcases the bands actual coming together but in a highly fictionalised way.
As an Irish man, this film makes me feel ashamed of the fact I'm not fluent in Irish and it stirs emotions in me of nationalism. The portrayal of how of the Irish language is taught in schools is accurate, it was dull and depressing when i was in school hence why I do not speak it now. This film makes me want to learn it properly. Every word spoken in Irish is a bullet fired for Irish Freedom. Tiocadh ar La.

I started watching this yesterday, I'm nearly finished season 2 already. Its easily one of the best detective/psychological shows ive seen, highly addictive, some of the scenes will keep you so enticed that you feel like your there, never before have I been so invested some simple dialogue between 3 characters. The serial killers are so well portrayed its eerily real. I read that it may not be renewed for season 3 and that would be one of the greatest mistakes made by a TV distributor in a long time. It will go down as a cult classic for anyone who gives it a chance
To have a comedy show have so much emotion in one episode shows how important Michael Scott is. Irreplaceable.
