Great performances by the leads really enhance their chemistry on screen. Direction and cinematography are both top notch. The songs and score will elevate your emotions to new heights. Sushant has done an exceptional job as Manny (which one would expect considering he was one of the finest actors of his generation) while Sanjana Sanghi also holds her own with a composed and nuanced performance. The story is adapted from the "The Fault in our Stars". The writers have done a great job adapting the story into an Indian setting. This movie will make you laugh, it will make you cry and it will make you feel. The saddest part is knowing that this was Sushant's last movie. Even if you are not a Sushant fan, watching this movie will make you one. So enough reading this and go watch it now!
The only reason this movie has garnered over 20 million views on youtube is simply because of the explicit sex scenes and graphic nudity. The acting is atrocious, the direction is shoddy, the screenplay is non-existent and the score is boring. The lead actress really needs to work on her acting skills as simply exposing your body does not make you an actress. Overacting is prevalent throughout. The only saving grace of this movie is that it is only around 40 minutes long. Avoid this movie as it is simply a waste of time.
First of all, this has to be performance that could finally land Joaquin Phoenix his long overdue Oscar. He handled the characterizaton almost flawlessly. Fans of Heath Ledger's Joker would surely be proud at Phoenix's performance.
The plot is gripping and does not for once drag with time. The supporting cast is brilliant as well while the direction and cinematography are top notch. It's a movie that I wouldn't mind watching again because I know it will still blow me away. Don't miss this!
