Poorly crafted story full of clichès, bad actors, bad acoustics (why do german actors nowadays always mumble?). I don't even need to look up a movie to recognize it is german - just a view seconds into watching are sufficient.

Very flat and facile plot, actors seem to come straight from acting school.

Has to live with this egocentric person who didn't even bother to pick a good name for him. She just wanted to hurt her husband in getting a dog and naming it after him. I wonder why this man has stayed such a long time with her.

She is abusing everybody around her and feels like being the victim.

This movie is very strange, I wonder if there are really people talking like that - as if they read their dialogs in a book that tries to be intellectually superior. I saw this movie in german language, though.

And I too hoped she would commit suicide so her husband and her son (and the dog) are finally free and can have a good live.

They don't show the episodes in my country in the correct order, so after the first 4 episodes we are suddenly confronted with S4E3 and I wonder where the priest is.

And yes, even though the title of the series is "Grantchester", the main character was Sidney Chambers, not the boring police person or anybody else. And the priests replacement is superfluous. They could as well kept on without a priest. Or not at all.
