This franchise has spawned a great question. How stupid are people to not have learned from the first film. Cloning is bad, especially carnivorous T-Rex, raptors etc. It started out ok, but by the time we got to the hamster ball I was done. I watched to the end. Pratt's character was good has good chemistry with Claire, side story with her nephews, makes the film feel like two seperate stories being forced together. The only part that evoked emotions from me was the death of the Brontosaurus. Also a side note to people, the jeep the kids take will not start with fuel that's been sitting in the tank for 22 years. This series really didn't need to go beyond two.

Admittedly never been much of a fan. I was shown a few of the Showa era films, also couple of American films. This 2023 installment is the best since the original. Not only visually stunning but has a coherent story that works. There's a couple of scenes that will make you scratch your head but very engaging 4/5.

The first three films stand alone as a great trilogy. I haven't watched Renner's film as Cross, but finally watched the fifth one today. It doesn't really bring anything new or on par with the original trilogy. It's more of the same. Agent tries to go dark, a self serving evil CIA director tries to lure him out of the shadows to retire him permanently. This time it's Tommy lee Jones as Director Dewie. We supposed to believe he's always been involved even though it's the first time his name is mentioned. Lots of action but this entry wasn't needed. 3/5.
