  • Ugh. Every line wispered. Often in near darkness

Chalamet has neither the presence nor the accent to pull off this role. After the first dozen scenes where actors whisper every line (even in outdoor scenes), you'll start to go a bit mad. Whispering is an old stop-gap measure to make up for a cast who aren't attempting British accents. Watch Kenneth Brannaugh's Henry V, instead.

  • Tut's Iron Dagger History is re-written

The episode entitled "Golden... (something or other) " addresses Tut's iron-bladed dagger (one of two dagger's in Tut's tomb- the other with a golden blade). The narrator states that "it has always been on display tucked away in a rarely visited corner" or something to that effect. This is not accurate. U.S. Egyptologists omitted mention of it for decades mentioning only the golden bladed dagger or outright denying its existence. It's anachronistic existence was an embarrassment and had sparked a theory that it was of ET origin. Which, technically, it proved to be.

There is still a self-serving narrative that Egypt's ministry of antiquities has maintained and any foreign egyptologist seeking access has bowed to these unproven theories (such as: the insistence that no slaves were used to construct the great pyramid; the omission of its underground chambers; that it is merely Khufu's tomb; the broken handle to the shaft that we are asked to believe was stolen. The theory of a 2nd parallel gallery arose decades ago, and only now has recent testing made it all but undeniable).

  • Irresponsible Programing

This episode contains the most irresponsible content I've ever heard. Especially if we accept the following as fact:

    1. "Ancient Aliens" is a television program that attracts viewers that are open minded to the possibility that intelligent life exists outside Earth's solar system.

    2. Doomsday cults lead by persons claiming to receive guidance from otherworldly beings have been responsible both directly and indirectly for the deaths of their followers- followers whom the FBI profile as highly suggestible, emotionally fragile personalities.

    3. The source of most of "Ancient Aliens" claims is cited only as: "according to some ancient astronaut theorists"

    4. This episode claims that "some ancient astronaut theorists believe" that it is possible for humans to receive communications from distant beings from outer space.

Viewers should be extremely guarded before accepting this episode's- and by association, this series'- conclusions.

The producers, writers and the History Channel need to reconsider whether or not this episode might serve as an endorsement of doomsday suicide cults for its more impressionable viewers.
