One and the Same" (2021) often felt slow, almost sluggish in its pacing, making for a challenging watch. The performances, particularly from the women casts, were regrettably cringey, lacking genuine conviction. Michael Maclane also succumbed to the temptation of overacting, detracting from the narrative's sincerity.
The film's plot definitely had potential, a truly promising concept, but the storytelling was undeniably boring. It failed to build momentum or engage the audience effectively, leaving a sense of unfulfilled promise. To add to the woes, the musical scores were consistently overpowering, drowning out dialogue and emotional beats rather than enhancing them. A film with a good heart but a struggling execution.

It has potential but it felt so boring. Something is missing, not sure if it's the actors, the phasing, don't know. But story could have been told better. It lacks energy.
