Because of all the negative reviews I almost skipped this one. Glad I didn't. Did I miss something why this is supposed to be bad? I binged the mini series in one sitting because I wanted to know who did what.
It doesn't have mind blowing moments that is why I only gave it a 7. Other than that all good, it kept me on the screen so..

It's definitely not really a thriller, but it is erotic - and the male lead delivers that side of it really well. The female lead doesn't quite bring the same chemistry, which was a bit of a letdown, but overall I was entertained.
What really bothered me was how the sisters were written: way too extreme and opposite to each other, which felt both annoying and unrealistic.
One more thing: watch it in the original language if you can. I can't even imagine how bad a dubbed version must feel for this kind of movie.

I'm really surprised by all the negative reviews. I watched Season 1 on Netflix and got totally hooked - so much so that I went looking all over the internet to find the rest of the seasons.
La Brea is classic time travel fun. It might not have blockbuster-level effects or award-winning performances, but it has something many shows lack: heart and emotion. I laughed, I cried, and I held my breath more than once. It's the kind of show that pulls you in and keeps you wanting more.
Yes, some of the acting can be a bit uneven, and the CGI isn't always convincing, but if you love sci-fi and you're in it for the story and emotional moments, this show delivers. I binged the whole thing and don't regret a second.
It's a real shame that it was cancelled and the ending felt rushed. But I'm so glad I listened to my own instincts and gave it a shot - not the reviews. Sci-fi and time travel fans, give it a chance!
