It seems like everyone is quick to jump on the actors if the movie is slow and without any drama or a serious plot. While this an be true it takes a lot of other people to make a movie good, or .to make it bad. I've seen a lot of terrible movies with great actors in them. Did those actors just decide to act like dummies? I rather doubt it. If the producers can''t get adequate funding to turn a book into a movie but they know it has potential they will simply get the cheaper directors and writers. I thought the movie was a little slow or dull too, but I know a few of these actors and they are anything but dull or slow. If you are thinking about watching this then get ready for some real acting in a rather tough situation. I'll leave you to figure out the rest but you won't be disappointed. Real life situations can be a huge challenge, just watch and see...

Does anyone in this day and age know the difference between what we all call a Western and what should be called a movie about early settler days? This movie was not written, produced or directed as a western. Its simply a movie that depicted how tough life was for our ancestors when they tried to spread out about this great country. There was very little in the way pf law and order in some areas while others that were more densely populated enjoyed what we call law and order. All in all I thought it was a terrific show but I agree it was a little slow and you could start to lose interest, but just then something unexpected would happen and life went on with some major change. If people would read this review first they would more fully understand the meaning of the movie and better enjoy it. I am not claiming to be a movie critic nor an expert at all, just someone who enjoys a good movie and good acting. Thanks to you all.

If you're looking for a fast action drama / action show then keep looking. This movie is about failed big city romances, marriages and a failed big city cop, actually he just gave up because of a bad mistake. Cheryl Ladd has never looked more beautiful or sexxier then in this movie. There is a modest love scene and rather happy ending but you have to watch the thing to see it. Cheryl did a very great performance in this movie as did also Ed Marinaro. All the other actors had rather minor parts and the movie revolved around them. This movie has an honest but slow moving plot and you won't get it until the very end. Its the type of movie you can feel good about watching and not just another cheap high classed Hollywood flick. I hope you enjoy it as well as I did.
