I watched the Brady bunch probably nearly every day after school. I watched this movie the first time when I was 7-10 most likely the year it first aired and watched it every Christmas season after till the network stopped airing it regularly and only airing it one ever two years. I search for it every Christmas season. About 4 years ago switched from cable tv to streaming tv and it was on Hulu watched it a few times, but Hulu has removed it from there lineup and all searches this year came up empty. I fully understand some people can't watch because the Brady Bunch was so unrealistic and corny but now days with the crap on that is inappropriate for children to even be watching but made specifically for them or to entice them to watch classic shows like the Brady Bunch is much better for them to watch for any parent reading this good clean classics that you don't have to worry about are The Waltons, Dr Quinn, Brady Bunch, just to name a few.
I watched this movie when it aired on tv in the early to mid 90's it has been a favorite since. Bought it on VHS and watched it over and over till it no longer played, I now have it on dvd and watch it whenever the mood strikes. I have also read the book several times over the years. I love how Danielle Steel weaves so much history into her work. Zoya, The Ring, No Grater Love, and Star have book and movie adaptations that are awesome as well. Pegasus, and the award are awesome as well but to the best of my knowledge are only books. The Promise, Ransom, Fine Things, Heartbeat, Mixed Blessings, and Family Album have less history but are all awesome book or movie adaptations.
I saw this made for tv movie years ago when it originally aired, if I'm not mistaken it originally aired on channel 4,5,8, or 11. Although it has the feel of a lifetime movie I'm not sure if it actually is. Jason Gedrick has been a favorite actor of mine since Mario Puzo's The Last Don mini series. I watched this movie mainly because of him. At one time I had this movie recorded and rewatched it often until the recording couldn't be watched anymore. More recently I watched it on YouTube. Great movie. Josie Bassett and Jason Gedrick are both great in this movie. The storyline really tries to bring to light the struggles families and individuals who have mental health issues deal with.
