When I saw Wicked, I thought, I haven't seen a movie I loved so much as this since movies like "Ben Hur (1959), Lawerance of Arabia, or Spartacus (Kirk Douglas). For me these are the movies that set the bar.
Sinner met the mark in every way. I loved this movie as much as Wicked. It is not the same production complication, but it is the same production excellence.
The story is old but new. The actors, direction, cinematography, and above all else, the music are... What can you say. I have watched it twice in three days.
This is the best so far for me in 2025, and it will be hard to beat.
All we can do is pray that the Academy has a brain this time. Now that is a high bar for them.

This series made me think so much while I was watching it. It is almost as nuanced as the original Blade Runner and that is high praise.
It leaves hints but not through actions but through scenes and those present.
The juxtaposition of the leading women who are so beautiful, stately and TALL, and white, in the presence of people from a different culture whose genetics have none of those physical attributes is thought provoking. Then there is wealth. Then to see the difference in concern for some and not for others based on those attributes.
I will watch this again. The ending is sooooo good. Who in the end is more righteous than their peers.
