Folks... I think this is going to be a great continuation of an iconic beloved series.
I see reviews missing the old cast but let's be real, things change. Time moves on and we should be able to move on in a those new directions. It's life.
I'll start with Vikram Chamberlin played by the amazing Callum McGowan. I'm already in love with this character. He is charming, humorous and has a loving appeal about him. Reminds me a little of the Darington Dare character from the original Librarians. Callum has the daunting task of filling Noah Wyle's shoes and that is no easy feat. No he's not Flynn Carson and he's not meant to be. He's his own person in his right. I'm excited to see what he brings to our screens. I really love the character of Vikram, and he is my favorite.
Then there is the library team made up of Lysa Pascal played by Olivia Morris. She's the scientist of the group who looks exactly like a woman from Vikram's past. I'm interested to see where that leads us. Then there is Connor Green played by Bluey Robinson. I'm not quite sure what he's special talents are, he does have a lot of education so maybe someone like Jacob Stone perhaps. But I love his chemistry with everyone and I feel there is a lot of hidden potential with Connor. Then there is Charlie Cornwall played by Jessica Green. She is the guardian. There will obviously be no romantic connection between her and Vikram because of Lysa and this is a good change. Rounding out our new Librarian team is Ms. Elaine Astolat played by the superb Caroline Lonca. She is the new Jenkins and I think they hit the casting goldmine here. She is calm, humorous, intelligent and honest. She maybe my favorite casting in the bunch.
I give this new show a 10/10 because it brings back the nostalgia, adventure and the magic back to our small screens. I loved the old show because of all this and also because it was a good clean show I could watch over and over. I feel I am getting that again with this new Librarian show. I am very grateful to Dean Devlin who is a genius with his writing and production. I'm open to new possibilities and I'm super excited to watch all the episodes!
Magic is back my friends!
