I first watched this film way too young. I've always loved horror films and watch any and all that I can. Most can be forgotten but I remembered this one. I rewatched it today after probably 10 years and it stayed in my memory for a reason. It is gruesome, depressing and all around nightmare fuel. But I LOVED it. The story was beautifully tragic. It doesn't give you a break or a chance to get bored. It's a roller coaster from start to finish and I am here for it. Not for the faint of heart but for those that love horror and gore, this one is rare because it also has a great story. For me, the gore isn't too over the top . They cut out some scenes that would've been very disturbing, but honestly leaving the viewer up for interpretation is also very tactful. Plus the special effects and tiny details are immaculate. Overall, I say if you don't have a thing for blood and gore, stay away. If you're like me who wants to be left speechless by what I just saw, this one is for you.

I can't seem to get this movie out of my head. I've watched it 3 times and I'm still left intrigued, wanting more. This might be one of my favorite movies of all time. People complain that it's slow but I think it builds suspense. This movie captured me from beginning to end. It was something I threw on to pass the time and now I recommend it to everyone I know. I don't want to give anything away. Just watch it. It's an underrated masterpiece. Suspenseful, mysterious and a little creepy at times. 10/10 this was a home run for me.
