I was able to see this film at an LGBT film festival in North Carolina called Out At The Movies. To be honest, this type of film is not something I would typically gravitate towards. I met the filmmakers, who were lovely, and wanted to see their work. I'm so glad I did. This film explores a theme not commonly seen in LGBT+ films. In most LGBT films, the chosen family is a given and withstands the test of time. This film poignantly explores what happens when life happens, people change, and things are no longer the same. It's obvious the filmmakers really put their heart and soul into this well-crafted film. Highly recommended.
I heard about this film because a friend of mine works for the company that will be distributing it. Saw it at Culver City Film Festival, where it was very well received. I am NOT a big horror movie fan, but occasionally enjoy a good one. This film was exceptional. A perfect blend of comedy and genuinely scary moments. Terrific cast and a unique twist on the found footage story. Great pacing that will keep you entertained and guessing throughout. After the movie, a guy in the theater said: "I usually don't like the endings of horror movies, but this one nailed it." Totally agree! Highly recommended.
Got to see this at the premiere at Sundance and the crowd loved it. Brittany is a character you want to root for. The story and acting are spot on. Avoids some of the cliches of feel good rom-com films, and is genuinely funny and touching.
