I really enjoyed every episode of the first two seasons of Troppo and am hoping there will be more. The case under investigation looks simple enough then becomes increasingly complex as it progresses. Sometimes, they are investigating multiple things. The characters are far more interesting than the standard fare. By and large the cast is not familiar to Americans but are extremely talented and completely sell their respective characters. Sometimes bad guys turn out to be good guys other bad guys turn out to be bad guys but some are interesting and not entirely unsympathetic.
All in all, this series is intelligent, very well written, holds the viewer's interest and certainly had me on the edge of my chair awaiting the next episode.

What a wonderful series! Everything about it is classy. It starts with the writers. The stories are somewhere between interesting and downright captivating. With such great material the excellent cast all give beautiful but believable performances though they live in constant danger of being upstaged by the beautiful Italian countryside. The occasional music is pleasant, uplifting, and very Italian. All in all, the whole production is a joy to watch.
