Let's start with the good about this movie. The entire main cast is back for this sequel. The writers tried to create the same type of story, but this film goes so far over the top by the time it is over that is loses a lot of the story and by the end you really have stopped caring about anything that happens next. Except for a touching black phone family sequence, this film is much more violent and gory. It is definitely more horror than mystery this time around, mainly because everyone already knows what the story is if you saw the first movie. There is only one problem. The end of the first movie left a very obvious plot hole that needed to be dealt with if there was ever going to be a sequel.

For the first half of this movie, the plot looks like it might work. It was still mystery for the first half of this film. Then it turned into supernatural horror ghost fighting and I lost all interest.

They needed a sequel. It was needed because the first Black Phone movie is very good. This one is not very good mainly because all of the creativity associated with the first movie is gone. I think the lesson is that if you think the first movie might be a great success, it is probably better to think about how plot points can still affect the second movie before you finish the script for the first one. I do not see there being a third movie, but I think most people probably thought there would not be a second.

If the movie, The Black Phone, proves anything, it is that a movie that has a great story will usually keep your interest.

This is such a good movie because it mixes a ghostly storyline from the past with the current abduction mystery of the present. I thought the movie was more mystery than horror film.

Set in the late 1970's, the film revolves around a string of child abductions. One abduction in particular draws out the dream sequence clues from a sibling who might be useful in helping solve the case.

The Black Phone provides the tension and survival clues that keep you watching till the end. I suggest watching the trailer for this movie. If you like the trailer, you will probably like the movie too. For today's Hollywood movies, I thought this was a very creative idea from a short story that was turned into a movie. It worked and kept my interest throughout.

Jurassic World: Rebirth can best be described as a positive action movie.

The movie starts out well and gets directly to the point of the film, about scientists going to an island for some research work. The action does move well from there.

As a movie theater popcorn movie it definitely works. However, because Jurassic World or Jurassic Park now has been played before, I think the average viewer may be getting tired of the story.

The characters here play their parts well. The action is what you would expect. If this were a first film, then I think many more people would probably enjoy it. As it is, my rank is a positive average popcorn movie to see in the theater.
