First of all, if you watched and liked Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, you will most likely love this movie. But, having said that, you may also hate it because it is so similar. Little worse, by my own opinion. Acting is decent, CGI is awesome. There are some new and innovative things going on in here, but I am not sure that it will be enough to leave above average impression on this movie.

Story is nice tho, and I really like the elements of "killing monsters makes you one". And there is really good, almost philosophical line in movie - "I wonder what monsters have nightmares about?" She replies, "Humans, probably." It does make one wonder, doesn't it? Anyway, movie isn't the best you will watch, nor is it the smartest one. But there are elements of humor, magic, fantasy, philosophy of morality... And great CGI. What more can you ask for from movie of this type, anyway?

I give it 6/10 overall, and i find this really good mark for movie of this type.

As summary says, this is modern James Bond. Story is classic, but the way movie is made is very refreshing. There is elegance and style of 007's, but with more humor. The way movie is made is absolutely great. By this i mean the way it's recorded, the atmosphere in movie and similar. And acting is great, too. I really like all characters.

And that cliché old story of US vs. Russia will just make you laugh, since even this has new scent in it.

Soundtrack is awesome. When you hear soundtrack called Circular Story, you will know what i mean. Scene and soundtrack are breath taking! Only scene that is equally good is docking scene from Interstellar, Hans Zimmer, No time for caution. Awesome scene with awesome fitting soundtrack. Senses merging.

All in all, i do recommend this movie for either couples or family. Or, if you are introvert, feel free to watch it alone. ^^

This is my first review here. First of all, I need to emphasize that this is a bit of soft horror movie. That already means that my scale is lowered (because there is LOAD of utter junk horror movies) and adjusted to the genre. By no means is this LOTR or Guardians of the Galaxy, and it should not be watched as one of those movies, characterized by huge budget and top of the line acting.

If you take above said in consideration, this is all in all a good family movie that adds a bit of horror elements. Just the right amount to scare kids and entertain adults as well. I am not a parent, but i am an adult and i find this movie good.

Acting is actually VERY good, in rank with top of the class movies out there. CGI is also good, although i did want to see a little more of if. Language is Norway, but i don't live in English speaking area, so we watch everything with subtitles anyway, and kids read at age of 4-5. It could be issue for kids that had learned to watch movies without subtitles, so be warned. And, personally, non English movie that is above average is quite refreshing. Even approach is somehow different and "new" compare to Hollywood.

All in all, i do recommend this movie. It is not an Alien, but story is still better than, say, Prometheus, and acting is top of the class. 8/10.
