We have enjoyed the other two series but not this one. The comments about what they were experiencing were repetitive. Their interaction between native people were too brief. The long moments of watching them ride through landscapes that could have been descriptive were filled with " isn't this splendid" isn't this beautiful" and constant reminders of how much they loved riding together. It became boring and trite.
It felt like they took on too much territory to do justice to the things that would have given the series some foundation and character. There was also too much time devoted to personal reflection. Perhaps a sign of age but it interfered with adding more detail to the trip itself.
Yes, two old guys riding two old bikes zooming along miles and miles of road is cool for those of us who know what it feels like to experience extended motorcycle travel. However, an opportunity was missed to give a more meaningful understanding of the places they were riding through beyond the ooh, ah of what they saw.

Found out it was canceled with a cliffhanger. Even a bad series deserves an ending. Pardon my frankness, but studios that treat storylines and actors this disrespectfully do not deserve our business.
But how do they get that message when people still watch a discontinued series that does not promise a finale? The fact is that watching that kind of series speaks volumes about audience's lower standards. And this mentality gives studios the green light to dumb down current productions and cut them short because we don't demand better.
Another example of this is people continuing to watch the same rehashed drivel that crime series have been putting out for years. Not only that, but people watch multiple crime shows at the same time that trade off the same storylines between each other. Is this encouraging studios to do better?
I stopped watching the series once I realized it had no ending. One can fantasize all they want about Max continuing the series but look at their record in canceling their own well liked offerings or selling them off. Does Westworld ring a bell? Shining Vale is just filler for them. The current owner of Max is not interested in reviving a show that had a small following. He's not even that interested in spending money on anything except popular subject matter and hits. It really doesn't matter whether you liked the series or not because it's dead in the water. And that one star rating goes to the studio not the series or actors.

I am even sick of myself falling into the trap of trying to be critic. I don't how we all got here ... isolating our preferences over others ... ignoring the diversity of thinking that makes up the human race or believing our opinions should influence what people watch. Sure there are stinkers and diamonds in entertainment that I assess by my standards, but I'm beginning to believe I might rob someone of their enjoyment by posting my feelings. I can honestly say there is a lot of content I have passed on due to bad reviews from critics and online posters. Sometimes I miss out on something that would have appealed to me and other times the assessments were spot on for me .... And let me stress 'For Me'. Also, how I am feeling, my mood, my health and stresses in life can seriously affect how I enjoy content.
This movie is fine for where my head is at right now. It might not be fine for others but I like The Rock being The Rock. I need some comfort entertainment food in these tumultuous times. So please take all reviews with a grain of salt because you might miss out on something that fits the bill for you.
