Bad everything else. Weak script, poor acting and lackluster production. It's hard to understand how low quality series manage to eke out a following. There is very little suspense here and most of it is stereotypical storytelling. I guess the best thing to be said about it is that it's plain weird.
Great actors but the storyline is stereotypes of mobsters, hit men and a malicious women. I suppose one could revel in the pyschology of the characters or get a kick out of the brutality of it all, but this seems way over the top to me. I have watched tons of content like Peaky Blinders and Warrior that had a ton of violence throughout. The difference here is that there really isn't any depth to the story. I disliked it from the get go.
We have enjoyed the other two series but not this one. The comments about what they were experiencing were repetitive. Their interaction between native people were too brief. The long moments of watching them ride through landscapes that could have been descriptive were filled with " isn't this splendid" isn't this beautiful" and constant reminders of how much they loved riding together. It became boring and trite.
It felt like they took on too much territory to do justice to the things that would have given the series some foundation and character. There was also too much time devoted to personal reflection. Perhaps a sign of age but it interfered with adding more detail to the trip itself.
Yes, two old guys riding two old bikes zooming along miles and miles of road is cool for those of us who know what it feels like to experience extended motorcycle travel. However, an opportunity was missed to give a more meaningful understanding of the places they were riding through beyond the ooh, ah of what they saw.
