I'm not sure why so many reviewers say the flashbacks are a distraction. Anyone lost in the woods and trying to survive would be thinking about all the events in there past that made who they are. For me, the flashbacks are necessary to understand where the character gets her strength from because she needs every ounce of it to survive! I loved to scenery, and the 30-minute episodes make it easy to binge.
I gave a good rating because the solid performance of Sean Harris. This film had me engaged from beginning to end. Great acting, a gripping story based on real events, and the Australian scenery. As others have said, some of the flashback scenes were not necessary. But overall I liked the glimpse into how the undercover operations happened. The only negative is that the ending was blah. They could (should) have provided a closing reel with text describing what actually happened to the killer and/or the investigators and/or any relevant information pertaining to the case (that would've been gripping the country for quite some time).
