I thought the cinematography and music were both exceptional. We can all relate to the story, too, with COVID isolation. Well done!
The characters were all very well defined. It's really great to see a female lead who is plucky and brave and drives the action! I think adults will enjoy this as much as the kids do.
AT GRANNY'S HOUSE is not for the faint of heart! It will take you on a thrill ride of twists and turns, sometimes keeping you literally on the edge of your seat. You know those commercials that say, "If you think you know...you don't know AARP"? Well, if you think you know "little old ladies", you don't know Granny! The film borrows style from the best of Hitchcock (you'll even see some "Birds"). Rebecca (Rachel Alig) arrives in the sleepy town of Haley somewhere in the mid-west, where she's been hired to be a live-in companion/caretaker for Marion, aka Granny (Glenda Morgan Brown). Granny resents the intrusion at first, but warms to Rebecca's kindness. A romantic interlude with a house guest (Les Mahoney) complicates matters...and I dare not say more. It's a thriller/love story--yeah,that's right. I guess you'll just have to see it to find out how those two genres go together!
