  • IT WAS A MOVIE ALRIGHT

When you make a horror movie. You can make the monster movie, like mummy, or freddy. You can make the saw type movie like this one is, or you can make a supernatural type like Annabelle or exorcist. You can also do a mix of these. This movie chose to do the saw type with a mix. However when you make movie where the main is not the bad guy but the good guy or victim the one thing you can NOT do is simply show the main and begin the story. There was no bonding with main at all. We were simply shown them and we are meant to what, auto connect like Bluetooth? NOPE. Rob Zombie always falls short when he makes movies. Maybe try horror porn. I am sure his wife will be first in line to be in the thing too.

  • NEEDS A NEW CREW!!

This movie was not a bad idea. Statham always gives a good show with everything he does. The man is a serious professional. The beginning was very weak in the script. As far as the rest, I just can NOT tell if the fault lie with the direction or with the edit. Could be a little of both. Any way you look at it the movie starts out as a total Joke. The individual scenes were, too long or too short. Most movies would have made a fast montage to get the audience up to speed. I have NO idea why this was not done. Attempt to be unique. IT WAS!! Like a PURPLE glowing turd. The movie did pick up along the way. What I don't get is, this is the same guy that did Beekeeper, that was a monster of a film. I have watched it 4 times. The movie was written by 3 people and you can tell. The first half hour was torture to sit through. Once we get to the end of the film I was so divested in the people in the film the emotional parts felt stupid and phoned in. Sly has become good at most things in the industry. I have to think this was some back end promise on a contract somewhere and hopefully we will never seen anything like this again. I wait for Jason Statham in his next project. I still like the witty dialog as he kills bad guys and eagerly await the next slew of trauma ward patients that he will deliver unto us. I AM a Statham fanboy but this will be in my recycling bin after I finish this last sentence!!

  • LEFT IT ALL OUT!!

Some of the facts were twisted from the actual truth, others were lies. The acting was that of great actors. As we always get with the cast of this movie. The worst part of it all was ALL the BEST stories and COOLEST things that happened between Edison and Tesla were completely left out of this movie. Or they were marginalized so you almost did NOT even notice it was part of the movie at all. Nothing to do with the actors, Hollywood is SCRIPTING itself right out of business. I have been a SERIOUS movie watcher my entire life. I say to my wife, "did you see that camera angle" and she looks at me like I am speaking in tongues. I thought I would forever love film. I am finding it an obligation more than enjoyment the last few years because movies and TV have become such worthless garbage. I am going back to the 40's and 50's to find movies I have never seen just to get QUALITY new movies to watch. HOLLYWOOD NEED SERIOUS REFORM TOP TO BOTTOM!!! I as HUMILIATED to say I have ever loved movies. It is like they want to make BAD film, not as a risk of art, but JUST TO MAKE BAD MOVIES!!!!
