Do not believe the 10/10 reviews, they were clearly written by friends & family of the film makers, this film is utter crap, bad acting, ridiculous dialogue, no redeeming features whatsoever, Avoid at all costs.
I'm not gonna say it's a 10/10 movie but it's certainly not a 2/10 either, it's somewhere inbetween, if you're looking for loud jump scares or hollywood fx, you're probably gonna be disappointed, it is definitely a slow burn because of the early character development but if you can get to the 40 or 50 minute part of the movie, the director starts to ratchet up the chills & suspense. 6/10 for me.
I must have seen a hundred & 1 home invasion movies & they're all pretty much the same so i wasn't expecting too much from this 1, however, this movie surprised me, the action & gore was great fun, the acting from Lulu Wilson was great & it was fun to see Kevin James as a bad guy for a change, so my advice to you is suspend disbelief for 90 minutes or so, grab some popcorn & enjoy it for what it is. 8/10 from me.
