  • An unexpected and wonderful film!

Before I saw a trailer for this, I thought the title a little odd. From the start it was a little odd but after 15 minutes it really gets going! Whoppi Goldberg is phenomenal in her part as a lounge singer wanting to get out of NYC. She joins the unbelieveably amazing Mary-Louise Parker and the effervescent Drew Barrymore! It seems at first they don't have anything in common but as they drive across the US they form an amazing bond. Once they have to stop in Arizona the film slows a little but the acting stays top notch. Add in Anita Gillete, Estelle Parsons and Matthew McConaghy for a delightful mix of just as fantastic acting. Some have compared this to Thelma and Louise but after fleeing a death, the similarity ends. It is a film on its own merits with a fantastic script, great acting and superb directing make this, in my opinion, a film to like and enjoy! If you haven't seen it, get your hands on it. I guarantee you will like it!

  • A very good film with fantastic performances all through the film.

I saw this film with a good friend and we both really liked it. The plot seemed to meander from the main story at times but quickly returned to the main story of Alan's (Tom Hanks) quest to get a presentation up and running for the King. One scene takes place at a party with illegal alcohol being served with Alan getting completely drunk. Alan also discovers a lump on his back which quite stupidly, he tries to remove. His driver Yousef notices blood seeping through Alan's white shirt and forces him to visit a local hospital. It would be a spoiler to tell what happens with this plot line but I will say it is a very thoughtful diversion from the main story. When Alan and his team are finally able to get their presentation running for the King, the sequence is very stunning. All told, this is a great film with great performances by Tom Hanks, Alexander Black and Sarita Choudhry. The script is very well written and the opening 5 minutes are beautifully done. I highly recommend this great film.

  • I think this show just keeps getting better and better!

From the first episode, I was hooked. As some people may think, there are plot points that could seem implausible but given time are not. The casting is brilliant, Jenna Fischer is a revelation, Matthew Baynton is fantastic, Joel Fry is hilarious, though I've never thought much of Pauline Quirk, she is great, Patterson Joseph and Kyle Soller are a fabulous team, Gaia Scodellaro and Rob Lowe make a strange yet funny couple and lastly Megan Mullaly is still fabulous as a white supremacist. I also appreciate how well the stories begin to intertwine after the first episode. The scripts are well written and sometimes filled with surprises. All in all, I really love this quirky show!
