Wow! Well if you like films with grotesque horror and it's in your face like Martyrs or Inside then you're in for a (I'd use the word 'treat' very loosely here).
It's a fantastic feat of a movie that will leave you shaking your head in disbelief at the end. And you'll definitely say WTAF have I just seen?
It's actually brutal right from the very opening shot so you'll know what to expect and it doesn't let up once the darkness descends.
All of the actors were excellent. Editing and cinematography were just great and you'll have a sense of foreboding because, although you're not sure what's coming, you absolutely know it's going to be bad and deeply twisted.
And it is!!
How people come up with this stuff is beyond me, but to imagine it is one thing, but to make it as visually dramatic as this is something else.
BEWARE: Not for the faint hearted, it's graphic, involves children and some scenes are very extreme.

Ok so anyone that rates this a 1/10 without even seeing a single episode should get barred from 'reviewing' anything! Trust me, there is someone if you look. Utterly ridiculous!
This show definitely has Ash Vs Evil Dead vibes and Tucker and Dale vs Evil, oh, and maybe Preacher too. It's a 'light' horror with splashes of humour, mixed in with plenty of gore. It's a fun show to watch.
I don't want to say anymore than that, it's best just to give Episode 1 a go like I did.... and then 4 hours later I'd watched the lot, and was typing a review.
Kevin Bacon is excellent as the lead character Hub. The rest of the main characters are great too. Oh, and there's even some nice Country music I liked, and I'm not a fan normally.
It's well acted, good cinematography , great effects, and a high end production. It's a fun ride if you like horror that makes you smile rather than hide behind a cushion. Ok, so some of the dialogue is a bit cheesy but if you stick with it you'll notice a definite difference from episode 5 on.
I would absolutely watch Season 2 if it gets commissioned. Let's hope enough people enjoy it that it does. I'd probably rate it above 7 but not an 8 so that's why I scored it as I did.

I've just finished watching and I'm a 56 year old father and I bawled at the final scene of episode 4.
This is a parent's darkest nightmare being played out and you literally feel like you're a fly on the wall. It's claustrophobic in parts, with maximum intensity, and it's unrelenting.
The directing and cinematography are outstanding and I'm pretty sure that each episode is done all in one take which keeps you rooted to your chair, literally holding your breath. Episode 3 was pure genius.
Just think about how challenging it is to film each episode as one take!!
That takes some planning, practice and commitment by everyone on set. That needs to be applauded in itself.
Just like the fantastic Boiling Point which is a whole film starring Stephen Graham that was filmed in one single take, this has a future star in Owen Cooper. What a performance, especially episode 3.
This series touches on the complexities of bringing up teenagers in the modern world, since the arrival of Social media. It actually made me grateful my son was finishing school when social media and mobile phones became a thing. Life for teens these days is so much more difficult to navigate with the 24/7 Internet access.
This is an absolute must watch and I'm pretty sure it will win a ton of awards. It deserves it.
