As someone who was once employed at a big deal, multi-million dollar startup, I laughed and laughed throughout the series. While the show exaggerates, it really nails the up & down, topsy turvy, roller coaster nature of working at a startup. At my startup, there were precious few calm days when you could just work routinely. There was always some wrench being thrown into the mix - an investor pulling out, a new one being brought aboard demanding changes, a bug in the app that had to be patched ASAP and so on. At a minimum, I was never bored. The cast has such great chemistry together and represents genuine tech world archetypes. I enjoyed them all and personally knew at least one version of each them at my own startup. Really fun, well acted, never a dull moment. One of the best comedy TV series I've seen.

This was an easy binge but I can't say I enjoyed it. None of the characters are likable. We didn't really get to know much about my favorite character, Chantelle, other than she can sassy yet gullible.

I've grown tired of the time jumping conceit which seems to be done in lieu of character development. Maybe the Tik Tok generation doesn't have a problem with it, but I find it needlessly distracting.

The acting is very good and is what saves this slick production in the end. Of course we know where things are heading for Belle but there still manages to be a few gasp-inducing twists and turns.

I feel like it was a missed opportunity when the series could have helped make clear the importance of the science behind medical cancer treatments. But this series had so much ground to cover and so many sub-plots, I guess that would have gotten lost in the weeds.

I'm glad I watched, mainly because I learned of the story of Belle Gibson but also because this seems to be a bit of a cultural touchstone at the moment.

Flabbergasted by all the bad reviews/ratings here. I know we're living in tough times but I feel like people have forgotten the point of comedy. It isn't to portray real-life or to be some sort of morality play or guiding light. This was just good clean stupid fun. I suspect more than a few of the bad ratings here are due to the fact that Amy Schumer is cousins with a certain Democratic politician. Furthermore, most of the demographic who is going to enjoy this film isn't the sort to leave a review on IMDB ie; the serious film snob. It's a funny, ridiculous premise, like one long raunchy episode of I Love Lucy or an SNL skit. It's an Adam Sandler production and it feels like it. So grab some snacks and drinks and have a giggle. Not every film has to be the Godfather.
