For a maximum 10 years old it's ok. I guess the lesson you learn is that if you are a hardworker handyman fate will swith on your side.
And that sometimes you pay for what you haven't done.
But still...one can hardly see any real emotion, acting is close to nul, soundtrack is better to be muted - all in all something reminding me of a film from the 70s.

I'm not into the Fantasy genre very much but this serie got me hooked. It is a sort of "The Little Prince", of whom soul is undeniably Tom Sturridge's portrayal and its nucleus the drama of Dream/Morpheus.
Too bad it is flawed by submission to leftist ideology which should't interfere with true art. The story is powerful in itself enough to raise above political currents. But combined with propaganda it only becomes one more production that will fall into oblivion with the w.ke current.
Too bad.
Frankly, I was curious to see what Tom Sturridge can deliver after I saw him in "Far from the madding crowd" and boy how I liked him here! It's true that the make-up and photography helped him a lot, so kudos to this part of the team.

I admit I stayed puzzled at the end: had to think a lot about the meaning of this movie until feeling satisfied with what I understood. No, it's not necessarily a celebration of life - it's rather a celebration of one's true self! The central scene, that of Chuck's unforgetable dance which takes him by surprise as much as the audience is nothing but his genuine nature erupting from its repressed state - repressed by societal conventions. It is a swan song, as we are told not much later, Chuck is going to gradually decompose as a personality and die. And so will his universe, of that he is the central piece.
There are some pieces that I can't find where they fit, for instance that scar story or the time-misplacement of the teatcher and meteo-man (present both in his adult life as in his childhood), or of the rollerskates girl, but they don't alter the core story.
Kudos to Tom Hiddleston but also aknowledgments to Benjamin Pajak who is remarcable, both as a dancer and an actor.
