As soon as I saw the YRF Spy Universe on the big screen, I figured out what the next two to three hours were going to feel like. I remembered the angst I felt last time when I watched Pathaan. I had a few problems with the previous War movie, but still, that felt better than Pathaan.
Coming back to the movie, let me list the issues I had with it. For now, let us forget the acting momentarily and focus on the other aspects. The plot is stereotypical with nothing new. Seriously, this is 2025. Can't we expect something new in our Indian action movies? Even the backstory was pathetic. I felt genuinely sorry for NTR Jr. That this role was given to him. There were so many ways he could have made a proper anti-hero-not this sorry excuse. Next comes the fight choreography with several slow-motion shots. I yawned. Should I say anything more? Even my body was rejecting the movie. The direction was worse. The loud banging music felt irritating. I was supposed to feel the awesomeness of the heroes, which this music destroyed. Next come the dialogues. Wow. Any hope the heroes would charm, the dialogue that came out destroyed it. Now, onto the acting. I have always been a fan of Hrithik since childhood and felt disheartened that he wasn't given good movies in Bollywood. He carried the movie with his acting as far as I can tell. Kiara, too, did her best, it seems. All the actors were good, but NTR Jr.'s acting felt kind of forced. The villains, too, were so sub-par.
This is 2025. I know the production houses have money, so they should at least try to make a proper action movie. But I guess the majority of the public will be happy with this, so they will keep making movies like this. Why try better when the public has no problems?

Everytime I see a movie, I always feel it could have been made better. Maybe the script could have been better or the direction or the acting but not this one. This is perfect the way it was made. Making a good movie is such a difficult task in the category of gore/horror/vampire but they have done it so well. The ending is very very justified. I was wondering if they will milk it by making it a vampire apocalypse but thankfully no. They gave it a very justified ending. I just loved this movie and would super recommend it to anyone who want to watch a good vampire movie that has an actual plot, thrill, suspense, emotion.
