Everyone and their mother is obsessed with this mini-series on Youtube so I had to give it a try.The story focuses on Desi,a sixteen-year-old girl with a passion for reading who finds herself in a cruise with her cousin. There she bumps into a guy named Sebastian who seems to be the prince charming for her.Unfortunately, her cousin comes across Sebastian leading to a horrible I might say love triangle. While the series was really fun to watch and follow along it delivered nothing nothing regarding the characters' personality and the "climax" was bland and boring. While I did enjoy some of the side characters like Beckett the whole concept fell really flat to me.Maybe this was because of the short length of each episode or the small number of episodes(even though a third season is supposed to come out).Still, it was OK and there was definitely chemistry between Desi and Sebastian.
Kaichou-wa maid-sama follows the story of a high school girl named Ayuazawa Misaki who is the president of Seika High School which used to be an all boys school. Now that the school is starting to fill up with girls Ayuzawa strives to restore the balance between the students in order for the girls to be settled up with no problems. And there is Usui Takumi,a seventeen-year-old boy who seems to stalk Misaki around until he finds out that she works part-time in a maid-cafe something that she thinks it's urgent to be kept secret.
As I stated before in this review, this is definitely my favorite romance/comedy anime of all time.I have watched a fair amount of anime in the same genre like Special A,Toradora etc. but none of those captivated me as much as this one.To become more specific, each and every episode never fails to deliver lots of humor while still keeping the romance at a decent level. The dialogue is so well- done conveying a lot of emotions to the viewers from happiness to sadness to disappointment.Secondly, although the romance may seem exaggerated sometimes, it still makes you swoon so MUCH!SO MUCH SWOONING GUYS!While,I do get there are stereotypes throughout the anime like the tall blonde PERFECT guy( aka Usui Takumi)I think most of us are suckers for things like this because a series is not supposed to present something completely compiled from reality.Lastly, the aspect of this story that I am inclined to believe I enjoy the most are the characters. Misaki is such a great female protagonist setting a great example for young girls whereas Usui is your number one FICTIONAL BOYFRIEND! 10/10 would recommend this anime!

You got a dream? You gotta protect it.People can't do something themselves they wanna tell you you can't do it.If you want something go get it. -Chris Gardner
My experience with this particular movie was a heart-rending one.I decided to watch this with my mother after her recommendation and it turned out to be an emotional roller coaster. The movie is about this man named Chris Gardner who is trying to make ends meet by selling a bone density scanner. However, things are getting harder and harder for his family as it's been a long time since he last sold one.We basically follow his life as he strives to both achieve his dream and stay afloat.
what really surprised me was how much I cared for these characters and how emotionally attached I was to them.I would never expect to feel this man so close to my heart and cheer for him throughout the film. After a certain point,I always had to wipe the tears off my eyes while hugging my pillow and being depressed. The soundtrack was not as good as I hoped it would be,given the fact that when a sad scene was coming up they would play a groovy kind of happy song?.. I don't know maybe that is just me.Still,it turned out to be a masterpiece and the best kind of motivation with the messages it was trying to convey to the viewers. To make a long story short, it stresses the importance of pursuing your dream,it makes you think about the meaning and the perception of what happiness really is and leaves you feeling stunned of how conceptual it was.I also loved the relationship between him and his son because it felt really balanced with its ups and downs.I would recommend this to pretty much anyone especially young people like me because you will definitely be inspired to work your way to your goal.
