I shut this off after 30 minutes. It was boring, unfunny, and followed a predictable formula I've seen countless times. I found myself playing on my phone just to have something interesting to do. I gave it a shot for Eddie Murphy, but he came off as a diluted version of the character he always plays. This just wasn't worth sticking around for.
Crazy how they sound better than actual bands. They work together better than actual bands. Tells you a lot. Tells you a whole, whole, whole lot. Talks to you about a ton. Not a ton of fun but a ton of facts.
Better play it up to the 11 on the dials and do not dial the dial back or we will be tapped.

Anyone giving this more than 5 stars is lying. The first 15 minutes are good (nowhere near as brilliant as the first film) then the next hour of the film is boring filler, just the band in a studio humming to tunes, plucking cords and talking to a bunch of cameos. Then the final act, the concert is short and unfulfilling.
Even if you are need to see this movie because you loved the first film, you will thank yourself for waiting and not paying to watch this nothing burger. Why does it even have an R rating? Such a shame. They murdered an iconic legacy.
