I gave to say channel 5 has brought us some good drama lately and, as it's seems to be moving away from 2 hour drama, channel 5 seems to be getting into it.
I don't know the two leading actors which helped with the story but the accent yard by Jimmy Beck from Crackedcsas off putting.
Although the show is obviously made in Ireland, the visuals and voices are far from the Peak District where it is set.
The two last characters are interesting and the story engaging.
A good start.

I have seen a few quality shows from Apple tv space as Ted Lasso, Trying, Criminal Record, Hijack and the brilliant Slow Horses so, when I heard this was from the same stable, I bolted in its direction.
It took a while to get into it, probably half an hour before I knew what was going on but it was watchable but if doesn't feel complete to me.
Hopefully, the show will grow with a recognisable cast and some good writing.

Reviewing this after s2.
If you look at the show as a standalone and haven't seen the other Paradise franchise shows then it is probably quite enjoyable but when Death In Paradise had been around for a decade before this then fans really have seen it all before.
Obviously, Dolphin Cove is a great back drop fif those if us shivering in the UK but the morning characters aren't as endearing as their Sait Marie or Shepton Mallett counterparts .
Cost Sunday night tv but night that's probably it's biggest fault.
