I was dreading this 4th series as I loved the Belgian original so much but what a pleasant surprise it has been so far.
The brilliant Belgian version only lasted 3 series so this is breaking new ground and, despite several characters having left the show, a new writer has taken this to a totally new level.
Only a brief cameo by Frances de la Tour here so it seems that another enigmatic actress, Zoe Wannamaker will be taking over the position in the show.
A story full of twists and turns that leads you up the wrong path until the end. A great watch.

It's been a quiet summer on our screens but itv are back with avengeance here with a top cast and good to see Andrew Lincoln from This Life and Afterlife on our screens. I don't watch American shows but know he has been busy over there over the past 15 years.
There are some great interactions between he and his on screen wife while their neighbours go totally next door go totally OTT.
The downsides include a trophy box that gets moved from the safety of a shed to a more accessible garage, a story which doesn't know how to end (leaving an unnecessary second series as an open option) and the fact that Eve Myles is on bbc 1 in The Guest at exactly the same time on Monday nights.
A good watch but a bit disjointed.

A few weeks ago I said In Flight was easily theed worst drama I had seen this year;a channel 4 drama that was so bad I thought it was made by channel 5 we this has surpassed it, thd real depths of channel it's production line of shows.
It had promise. I do like Rachel Shenton but the more I see her i realise she can't act.
Ellie Haddington has done some quality work but, i guess as actors age, good roles are hard to find.
Paper thin storine that doesn't improve.
As soon as a channel 5 drama shows a post box, red phone box or, as in this case, union Jack bunting; you know if was filmed elsewhere - Hungary on this occasion).
I wasted 225 minutes of my life watching this. Please don't do the same.
