I liked this episode when it first aired, and I like it even more now. (It's even more eerie to watch after the Columbia disaster, and sadly prescient after the Space Shuttle program has basically been ended.)
Fans who call this the "worst episode of the series" have apparently not actually watched the series. It's not even the worst episode of the first season! Have none of you seen Jersey Devil?! And don't even try to tell me it's more boring than Miracle Man!
It has its flaws -- I wish it had left more unexplained -- but it very much captures the essence of the series.

The "haunted/possessed dummy" trope has been around for ages, and every horror series out there has done it... But never quite like Buffy.
This episode may not be considered one of the best by most fans, but it's definitely in my top 10! It has everything that makes the show great: horror, comedy, mystery, plot twists, pathos. It's also one of the most coherent and tightly-written of the entire season.
It reaches perfect 10/10 status thanks to that hilarious end-credits scene... and to the introduction of Principal Snyder! Every single line this man says is gold. He's probably my favorite minor character of the series.
