The narrator can't say her "s'es." She constantly says "thip" and "athore" among other mispronunciations. It's so distracting and my husband and I just laugh all the time. Otherwise the shows would be "interethting" to watch. They are like commerthials for the cruise thip industry but that's understandable. We have been on many cruises on many thips and so we have an idea of what it's like. We've been on thom large thips but not like the mega thips that they have today. Our favorite so far are the Cunard Queens. I don't know if the Smithsonian has done a review of them. If they do, I just hope they'll find someone who can say the word "ship" since the show is about "ships."
I love the QM2. Have been on many crossings (in fact was on one right before they filmed this!)so it was fun to see the ship, but I too didn't like the improv feel. Even geniuses like these three actresses seemed a little awkward. Really, Meryl seemed the most ill at ease which was surprising. Diane is always a little awkward so seemed natural to her. And Candice was the best of the three, but the worst was Lucas Hedges. He seemed so anxious to appear natural that it was a very "forced" performance. Really annoying to watch.
