  • American Reality Trash

I didn't even make it through the whole show. I couldn't. It was sadly disappointing and unwatchable. It took me a few minutes before realizing that I was being tricked into watching an Americanized watered down season of inexcusable trash all wrapped up in packaging that makes viewers believe that they are watching the second season of an original piece of entertainment from the Koreans. Wrong. Not even close Netflix. I don't understand how Netflix can cancel awesome original shows but they literally spent millions making this load of garbage. If you like trashy reality television then this is the show for you. If you wanted the second season of squid games this isn't it .

  • Dead or alive you're coming with me!

I waited for about five years for this documentary to come out. After COVID hit it was delayed further and I was beginning to lose hope that it would ever make it out to print. But here it is in it's final form and it does not disappoint. From the music and the intro to the detail of every interview from the original film crew. The actors, director, producers, writers, creators all lend commentary to this and it's such a polished piece well worth the wait. Peter Weller was originally not interested in doing the project for some reason. I can't think of how disappointing this would have been without the titular character but it proved to be an excellent addition. Very nostalgic and entertaining for everyone who grew up watching this classic.

  • I think Jackson would be proud

Yes we all love Peter Jackson's work and it has become the standard for Tolkien's screen adaptations for most of us. But Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit have already been done. Amazon took a big risk on a story that represents an age of Tolkien lore that most won't be familiar with. While Jackson had best seller novel blueprints with which to make films out of Amazon was tasked with a making a story out of a bland historical text book with no linear story. I don't think the general public realizes this. But as a Tolkien fan what else do we have? I think Amazon did a decent job of bringing Middle Earth alive once again. Yes they had a lot of creative liberty but that's only because Tolkien did not write the Silmarillion with the intention to make it into a screenplay. I think it has the potential to do well if you give it a chance.
