I had very high expectations for this script. It reminded me a lot of the film "Let's Get Harry" (1986). But everything fell flat. This is really a TV movie. There's no expansion of the characters, everything is the same old cliché. The jungle scenery is bland and doesn't create any sensations. It's just trees, trees, and more trees. And the rescue squad can't hold a candle to the one in Predator (1987). There's nothing that excites you about this film. Is it an action movie? I don't know. I had more action last night watching a Diane Krall concert. It's a bad movie. Plane is a 3-star movie.

A 90s independent film that deals with the youthful issues that Clark, Solondz, and Linklater addressed in their own ways, but here the director gave it the texture of a panda-like doll to show us the palpable loneliness of these kinds of stories. And it's loneliness that the three main characters carry with them, who have no direction, except for Manny, who, being at an age of exploration, identifies life differently, amidst crime, anarchy, and the deep America. Manny & Lo is 6 stars.

La Luna is an auteur work, a controversial subject, very well directed by the maestro Bertolucci, very well acted and written. My opinion is that this is pure European cinema, with all that concrete staging that many use, in this case Rome of the 70s, with its slow scenes with a lot of dialogue and alterations in each character here reflected in the underworld of this city, the upper and cultured class, and that eccentric and sexual interaction between the main characters. If you are used to Bertolucci, to European cinema in general, to auteur cinema, to the cadence and patience of these films, you could give it a higher rating than mine, otherwise this film won't work for you. La Luna is 7 stars.
