This movie is extremely bland, and lacks almost no real substance to capture my interest and make me go "Oh!". As we've already seen from trailers of the film before release, the casting is so weird and literally none of the actors are the right fit for the characters they place (with the exception of Jack Black as Claptrap, he wasn't that bad to be honest). L love the Borderlands game series and even though l knew the movie would be bad, l was still going to go in watching it with low expectations and try to enjoy the world of Pandora through a more cinematic movie setting. The writing is a joke and it's so incredibly dull.. jokes couldn't even get a pity laugh or chuckle out of me (please remove that Comedy tag), and the CGI was slightly below average. L was watching this movie and was expecting to be thrown into "dumb fun" for a movie, not good, but you can still have fun with it- this movie was so generic it had no fun factor at all, and it was obvious that the whole point of existence of this movie was to be a cash grab and nothing more.
Sad and pathetic attempt for a Borderlands movie, hoping to see something more proper and true to the world of the games in the future maybe. Hard to recommend this even as a 1 time watch unless you have some friends to make fun of it with, because your enjoyment of the night ain't gonna come from the movie.

All l wanna know is why? The rest of the series was honestly pretty enjoyable (with weird things here and there) all the way up until this episode 8 (the finale). The twist makes no sense and so many of the character's decisions make me ask more WHY? Don't expect to get a satisfying ending though; maybe the writers ran out of time.
This entire series could have been easily condensed into an hour and a half long documentary, but the editing makes it so they have so much "filler time" riddled with people repeating themselves over and and over again, rehashing the same information, with all the stereotypical tropes of dramatic reveals with instrument hits in the most basic "discoveries". lt started out interesting, and l watched to the end out of curiosity, but the end was so extremely dis-satisfying. Many scenes also feel dramatized or setup because of the way they shot everything, and there just HAPPENS to always be a camera recording for breakthroughs. lt's super maddening and makes the series feel so artificial. ln the end, this documentary was okay, but such a HUGE waste of time.
